EdTechPro's Story

With almost a decade of experience supporting the education sector working with people holding a variety of roles, our Director witnessed firsthand the products and softwares designed to support educational institutions.

While many of these solutions performed well we noticed a recurring issue, they often lacked the perspective of someone who truly understood the day-to-day challenges faced by school staff, someone who was on the inside working in the roles the softwares were built for. Since our Director already worked in one of these roles he knew the challenges faced by schools and wondered if he could do better.

EdTechPro's journey began in 2021 at a primary school in a high-deprivation area of London. A school's office team frequently received calls from parents who spoke limited English and required additional support when they called in. This experience sparked an idea in our Directors mind. He envisioned a solution where, upon receiving a call, an instant pop-up would appear on the staff member's screen using information directly from the school's MIS, providing all the necessary information to assist the call handler, this information would include the parent's name, their children's details, previous interactions and a simplified way to log attendance for multiple children at once.

The innovative solution was tested at the school and yielded impressive results. Productivity soared, and incoming attendance call times were cut in half. Staff could greet parents by their first names, instantly know the caller's children, and streamline attendance first day calling for families. This not only enhanced efficiency but also fostered a more personal and supportive experience for parents.

Visiting school's noticed this increased performance and asked about the solution used and how they could get access, and thus EdTechPro was born!
